who am i? a blank white page. words expressed of joy and rage. flowing ink to cover up tears. courageous words pushing back fears. dreaming mind to hide the past. putting others forward, myself last. who am i? no one will ask. i filled a page with the perfect mask. words escaping a jumbled mind. reaching outward to be left behind. but words have power and and take their place. protecting my heart and hiding my face. don't ask for answers you can't hear. you try to see, but i dissapear. i could be him, i could be her... can you be sure? thoughts i share, feelings i show. but me; i hide. you will truly never know. but, i will stay and speak my mind. who knows if you will understand what you find. and who you are, i won't try to define. thats the difference between your poetry and mine. but who i am, i cannot say. i may be gone tomorrow, but i am here today.
