Just a thought
You ever been loud in class or something and felt 'cool' or confident? And then had that confidence taken away from you in a matter of seconds when somebody you don't know speaks to you.
This is what happened to my friend today.
He was angry at a referees decision and he stood up and called him a F****** C****.
The man behind us then said "Oi you I have a five year old here" And my friend quickly shutup and wouldn't speak for the rest of the game.

Not quite sure about football part but so true. Though, can you really say you these people are confident till they meet new people? Maybe they are not really confident and just got use to being around the "old" people, more relaxed with them. Im like that.
