Like a candle.

You light a candle, you let it burn.
Watch it, it goes so slowly.
You do not see it change
Yet it does
Ever so slowly
Yet it does
Before your very eyes

Turn away for one second, its different
Like the candle, our lives are burning. You watch every second and it may seem like it goes slowly, the second you look away. Your life jumps years.

You light a candle, you let it burn.
Watch it, it goes so slowly.
You do not see it change
Yet it does
Ever so slowly
Yet it does
Before your very eyes

You watch the candle, what happens run the wax runs dry.
What happens when the wick burns away.
There is nothing left, a mess.
The candle is gone, never to burn again.
The wax is melted, never to be used again.
Such a waste, all gone now.
That is your life, burning away with every second.
We watch it burn, we watch it and let it die.
But surly there is nothing we could do, other then to end the burning prematurely. For the hope of lighting it again one day but never for this world for it is a world which demands the burning on both ends. A world that demands your soul to be forever gone.
