Do my Words Improve Silence?

Found an interesting article the other day, Do my words improve silence?. The author says silence between people can be a good thing because when silence is broken to be filled with something of meaning, it is better then it being broken with nothingness, if you get what i mean.

Funny how Stumble Upon works to your advantage, I find myself in silence at times with a few people always wondering why has no one said anything, what's going on. But its not a bad thing, I do it too and its true what the writer says about saying something with meaning, with feeling is better then boring the listener to stuff they don't want to hear. I mean, if i started talking to you about 1s and 0s (coding), how many of you will be listening to that haha.

Anyway, there are a few points there I don't follow with but its still interesting none the less!

This year Ive been away with some of my friends, and I've found we mess about more. but we also seem to just sit there at times, not talking. Not huffing, in silence. Not that we had nothing to talk about, but we seemed to know that one another needed to think about things. I think thats brought the 3 of us closer together.
